Cortachy House - Bed and Breakfast

Idyllic Cortachy House Bed and Breakfast was originally built as the manse to the reconstructed Cortachy Church in 1855 and still retains many of its original features.

Cortachy House Bed and Breakfast is set in its own well appointed gardens and grounds adjacent to Cortachy Castle in the beautiful Angus countryside close to the Cairngorm National Park and at the foot of the Angus Glens.

The south facing terraced lawns, where guests can walk in the summer sunshine, open out to the tranquil views of the surrounding Angus area. During winter the four open fires and antique wood-burner inside Cortachy House B&B ensure a warm and comfortable environment for guests to relax.

Cortachy House Bed and Breakfast is open All Year.


Guest Accommodation

Cortachy House Bed and Breakfast has two guest rooms. Clova guestroom is a large double room with en-suite facilities. Prosen guestroom is a large triple aspected double room and is situated in its own wing of Cortachy House. Prosen guestroom has its own private facilities comprising of double shower.


Cortachy and Kirriemuir

Cortachy is a tiny hamlet of five houses that lies at the foot of the Angus Glens. It sits on the edge of the South Esk River next to Cortachy Castle, famed for its gardens and network of footpaths. Cortachy is near the town of Kirriemuir. Kirriemuir is a red sandstone town in the valley of Strathmore, five miles west of Forfar.
